چکیده
The IceCube Neutrino Observatory is a multi-component detector at the South Pole. Besides studying high-energy neutrinos, it capable of measuring cosmic rays from PeV to EeV. This energy region thought cover transition galactic extragalactic sources rays. observatory consists deep in-ice array, which measures (≥500 GeV) muonic component, and IceTop surface sensitive electromagnetic low-energy part an air shower. primary mass composition can be measured simultaneously by applying statistical methods including modern machine-learning techniques reconstruct ray showers. In this contribution, we will discuss recent improvements reconstruction techniques, sensitivity, outlook on future improved measurements with full scintillator/radio array mitigate snow accumulation measure shower maximum X max using imaging air-Cherenkov telescopes IceAct.

Status of the IceCube Neutrino Observatory IceCube Collaboration
The IceCube neutrino telescope, to be constructed near the Antarctic South Pole, represents the next generation of neutrino telescope. Its large 1 km size will make it uniquely sensitive to the detection of neutrinos from astrophysical sources. The current design of the detector is presented. The basic performance of the detector and its ability to search for neutrinos from various astrophysica...
متن کاملNeutrino Oscillation Measurements with IceCube
The IceCube Neutrino Telescope [1] is a multipurpose discovery experiment under construction at the South Pole. It is currently about half completed and is taking physics data. Upon completion in 2011, IceCube will instrument a volume of one cubic kilometer with 4800 Digital Optical Modules (DOMs). These will be vertically spaced with 17 m separation at a depth between 1450 m and 2450 m in the ...
متن کاملThe EHE Neutrino Search Capability of the IceCube Observatory
An initial study of the extremely high energy (EHE) physics capability of the IceCube neutrino observatory is demonstrated by considering a GZK mechanism neutrino production model, which is a guaranteed source for EHE neutrinos. We study EHE event properties in the energy range 10 < E < 10 GeV observed by IceCube using detailed Monte Carlo simulation. Results of a simulation study show that abo...
متن کاملIceTop - Cosmic Ray Physics with IceCube
The IceCube experiment at South Pole consists of two detector components the IceTop air shower array on the surface and the neutrino telescope at depths from 1450 to 2450 meters below. Currently, 26 IceTop stations and 22 InIce strings are deployed. With the present size of the IceTop array, it is possible to measure cosmic rays with energies ranging from 0.5 PeV to 100 PeV. Coincident events b...

IceCube is a cubic-kilometer neutrino telescope under construction at the geographic South Pole. Once completed it will comprise 4800 optical sensors deployed on 80 vertical strings at depths in the ice between 1450 and 2450 meters. Part of the array is already operational and data was recorded in the configurations with 9 (year 2006/2007), 22 (year 2007/2008) and 40-strings (year 2008/2009) re...
